My Summer Holiday Reading Pile

Dear all

You might have noticed things around here have been slow of late and that my reviews have been very much on the short side. This year has been the toughest I have ever had since I started teaching for a variety of reasons and it has really taken a toll on both the volume of reading I've managed to get through and the amount of time I've had (or lack of it) to review anything *shakes fist at Michael Gove*

Today however is the day when I start to get back on top of things because the school holidays are finally here!! I have the following books to work through over the next six weeks, all the time in the world to review and get myself scheduled up to share with you all for September when things start getting busy again.

This is a picture of all the books I have on my TBR pile that I want to get through* The pile on the left are mostly books I bought myself, mostly all UKYA authors and all books I am excited to read. The exceptions to that are Insignia and Shadow and bone which are there because I now have the final two books in the series and want to reread those both reading the entire series back to back. The pile on the right are all review books and again all titles I am so so so excited to read.

*not including a rather large pile of adult books I have to read (have to be in the right mood) and several kindle books I have to read (I am never in the right mood ... I hate my Kindle)

My question to you dear readers is which of these fine titles should I start with. I have literally no idea where to begin because I want to read them all now. Any recommendations?

That's an impressive pile of books to get through. The only one I can see that I've read is "Shadow and Bone," so I recommend starting with that one. :p
Wow, that's a massive pile to get through! But I know what you mean about not having the time to sit down and read - I feel the same way. I started a new job a few months ago (and moved house as well) so life's been very hectic. I kind of miss my university years when we still had summer holidays and I had time to catch up on blogging and reading. :(

I haven't read any of these books yet but I'm really looking forward to reading Junk - I love Melvin Burgess' writing.

Hope you manage to get through all of them and you enjoy them!
