My biggest recommendation before reading this book?? read book one first. I loved book one but found myself not really all that bothered with this book because I had forgotten all the ins and outs and who everyone was which meant I really wasn't sure what was going on and therefore meaning I lost interest rapidly with this book.
I was really confused with this book. The narrative had changed from book one and I found the new point of view really confusing and was often finding myself muddled up and not really knowing who it was who was talking to me as I felt Kaleb's narrative was so similar to Emerson's that I couldn't distinguish between the two.
I did really love Lily the new girl introduced in the book. Was that due to the fact that I was actually introduced to her in the book and wasn't playing catch up?
There are some scenes in this which did stun me but again I think they would have had more impact had I really known who was who securely in my head
All in all was I impressed? Not really. That said I will probably end up finishing the series off because I do think the series on the whole could be quite an exciting one. Definitely one to read back to back with book one rather than having a gap me thinks.
