Blog Tour: All Wrapped Up by Heidi Swain

In Wynbridge, the scent of autumn is on the breeze and love is in the air…

Clemmie Bennett has been renovating beautiful Rowan Cottage on the outskirts of the small town of Wynbridge, for eighteen months following a very public heartbreak back in her childhood hometown. The popular Instagram influencer, lost her husband, sold their home, and has been cosied up the Fens and living a very private life, but now she feels it’s time for a change.

A chance encounter with co-owner of The Cherry Tree Café, the bubbly Lizzie Dixon, pulls her into organizing Wynbridge’s first-ever Autumn Festival, and her once quiet life is soon a distant memory. With the whole town rallying behind the event, she discovers a new sense of purpose.

And when local vet Ash falls hard for Clemmie, she begins to wonder if she’s ready to move even further on from her past and fall in love again…

This autumn, cosy up with Heidi and this perfect seasonal romance.

I must admit this book caught me off guard. Heidi's books are always a must read for me and as a result I don't pay much attention to what they are about until they fall into my hands. I've happily got into the rhythm of expecting a summer and a christmas book from her so that is what I assumed it was going to be.

Don't get me wrong I love a Christmas book as much as anyone but was completely caught off guard to find that this was an autumn book. Not something I knew was missing from my reading year but definitely something that hit the sweet spot for me when I started reading it at the beginning of September. You know that bit of the year when you start getting excited about wearing jumpers and boots again and get out your cooler weather duvet wishfully thinking now is the time for snuggling (it was not that two weeks again. Only the cat is appreciating it. I am sweltering).

So here we are new Heidi book in hand. It's set in the autumn and it an absolute love letter to the season. We are back in one of my favourite fictional places, Wynbridge with a brilliant new character to get to know and hopefully a swoony romance to swoon over. All you need is a blanket and hot chocolate and you are set for those drawing in nights.

I loved this book and what it had to say. Clemmie is a young widow and your heart breaks for her and you just want to root for her and help her on her way. She moved to Wynbridge for a new start and pretty much kept herself to herself whilst renovating her new home. We meet her as she starts to make her first steps back into the world as she navigates what life looks like for her in a world without her husband. I loved that she could do this for herself and managed to find a way to start getting involved and building a life for herself going forward.

The romance in this book is a touch different to Heidi's other books. Clemmie and Ash clearly hit it off from the start becoming friends but as romance isn't what Clemmie is looking for the way in which they start to fall for each other is interesting. Clemmie is so clearly still is love with her husband and finding room for someone else takes time and the right person who gets that a piece of her heart will always love someone else and Ash is such a gorgeous human being who gets it.

I loved being back in Wynbridge. We all will know Wynbridge does Christmas well and we know the residents well by this stage. Being back with them was like getting to spend time with old friends and it was fab to see how the town did autumn using Clemmie's passion and enthusiasm for the season. You can well imagine the events, the crafts and the food and I for one would love to be able to step into that world and join in.

A wonderful read for the season. Full of heart and seasonal goodness.
